Your central heating system may work inefficiently due to poor circulation of water.  This means that although your radiators are not heating up, your gas bills might be higher then normal.

Power flushing can improve the efficiency of your central heating without the need to replace your boiler and/or radiators.  Power flushing is the most effective and efficient method of cleansing a central heating system with minimal dismantling. Flushing the system loosens corrosion deposits and sludge which is then removed from the system leaving pipes and radiators clear and free for good circulation.   By connecting the power flushing unit to the heating circuit in place of the system pump, boiler or radiator the circuit can be thoroughly cleansed of limescale and corrosion debris.

Sludge is a 'mud' resulting from the reaction between the water in your system and the steel in the radiators which can build up over a period of time and cause circulation and flow problems.

The following are some symptoms to watch out for, which may indicate your central heating system may have a sludge problem:

• Some radiators are completely or partially cold
• Radiators need frequent bleeding
• Repeated pump failures/corrosion deposits in pump casing
• Strange and unpleasant noises from the boiler
